First look at James Gray's sci-fi drama.
Director James Gray's previous film, The Lost City of Z, concerned the explorers of the early 20th century. For his latest, Ad Astra, Gray is jumping forward with a tale of future exploration.
In the sci-fi drama, Brad Pitt stars as a NASA engineer who heads off into space on a quest to track down his father (Tommy Lee Jones), who disappeared two decades earlier while searching for alien life. Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland also star.
Ad Astra is in UK/ROI cinemas September 18th.

The official synopsis reads:
Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.
