Burns' second feature comes to Irish cinemas in May.
One of our favourite directorial debuts of recent years was Peter Mackie Burns' Daphne, so we're happy to unveil the first trailer for Burns' second feature, Rialto.
Actor Tom Vaughan-Lawlor reunites with Burns for this tale of a Dublin father who becomes troubled in the wake of his father's death and forms a close bond with a teenage boy (Tom Glynn-Carney).
Rialto is in Irish cinemas May 8th. A UK release has yet to be announced.
Check out the first trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
At 46, Dubliner Colm (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) has a comfortable life: a managerial job in the city’s docks, two healthy teenage children, and a kind, loyal wife in Claire (Monica Dolan). After the death of his father, Colm’s emotional life cracks open. Unable to confide in Claire, Colm finds himself drawn to Jay (Tom Glynn-Carney), a 19-year old who quickly becomes his only solace from the pressures he feels.
