First look at the new thriller from the director of Searching.
From the director of the hit 2018 thriller Searching, Aneesh Chaganty, comes Run, in which Sarah Paulson plays a domineering mother who keeps her daughter (Kiera Allen) isolated from the outside world.
Where the action of Searching played out entirely on a laptop screen, Run sees Chaganty employ more traditional filmmaking, though this trailer suggests it includes some messing about with aspect ratios. What could it mean?
Run was scheduled for a UK/ROI release on March 6th but seems to have been taken off the release calendar for now. Meanwhile you can check out the first trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
They say you can never escape a mother’s love... but for Chloe, that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even sinister about the relationship between Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen) and her mom, Diane (Sarah Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe's only beginning to grasp. From the visionary writers, producers and director of the breakout film Searching, comes a suspense thriller that shows that when mom gets a little too close, you need to RUN.
