New look at the movie cinemas could be relying on for their restart.
A new Christopher Nolan movie is always the centre of attention, but his latest, Tenet, is a standout for a specific reason. While most of the summer's blockbusters have had their releases pulled amid a climate of uncertainty, Nolan and Warner Bros. are steadfastly sticking with a worldwide July release date.
Will cinemas be open in July? As it stands, Irish cinemas aren't set to open their doors until August 10th, and there's still no date for a return of UK cinemas. And with social distancing measures in place, how much money can a movie realistically hope to make this summer?
I guess we'll find out on July 17th, which is the optimistic release date for Tenet.
Check out the new trailer, poster and official synopsis below.
The official synopsis reads:
John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan's original sci-fi action spectacle "Tenet." Armed with only one word - Tenet - and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.
