First trailer for Dave Franco's directorial debut.
When actors choose to enter the field of directing, they usually opt for a grounded character drama, but Dave Franco is dabbling in horror with his directorial debut The Rental.
The film, which Franco wrote with Joe Swanberg, stars Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Jeremy Allen White and Sheila Vand as two couples who experience terror while renting a seaside home for a weekend getaway.
The Rental is in US cinemas and VOD July 24th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
Check out the first trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
Two couples on an oceanside getaway grow suspicious that the host of their seemingly perfect rental house may be spying on them. Before long, what should have been a celebratory weekend trip turns into something far more sinister, as well-kept secrets are exposed and the four old friends come to see each other in a whole new light.
