The first blockbuster of the post-lockdown era is almost upon us.
Cinemas in the UK and Ireland have been back open for a while now, and if you're a regular reader you'll have seen us recommend such new theatrical releases as Babyteeth, Away, An American Pickle, Papicha, Proxima and yes, even Unhinged. But for most cinemagoers, the movie most likely to lure them back is Christopher Nolan's Tenet, the release of which is now less than a week away (and you can even read our review here).
Tenet stars John David Washington as a special agent assigned with investigating the threat posed to our existence by someone who appears have found a way to manipulate time. The cast also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Martin Donovan, Fiona Dourif, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Himesh Patel, Clémence Poésy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.
As if you needed any more reminding of Tenet's imminent release, a final trailer has just been dropped. Check it out below.
Tenet is in UK/ROI cinemas from August 26th.
The official synopsis reads:
John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.”
Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
Not time travel. Inversion.
