Once known for bombastic big budget action movies like Wanted,
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
and
Ben-Hur, Russian director Timur Bekmambetov has spent the past few years
pioneering 'Screenlife', a new way of telling stories in which the entire
movie plays out on a laptop screen. Having produced both
Unfriended
movies and
Searching, Bekmambetov now takes a crack at directing a Screenlife thriller himself
with Profile.
The film stars Valene Kane as Amy, a London based journalist who
uses the web to establish contact with an ISIS recruiter (Shazad Latif). You can read our review

Profile is in US cinemas from May 14th. A UK/ROI release
has yet be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
PROFILE follows an undercover British journalist in her quest to bait and expose a terrorist recruiter through social media, while trying not to be sucked in by her recruiter and lured into becoming a militant extremist herself.
