French writer/director Julia Ducournau burst onto the scene with her
excellent debut, the 2016 cannibal college drama
Raw. She's headed for Cannes this summer for the premiere of her eagerly
awaited sophomore feature.
Titane concerns a young man who is picked up by airport
security after claiming to have disappeared as a child a decade ago (sounds
a lot like the 2012 doc The Imposter). When he returns home to his father (Vincent Lindon), a series of
murders begin to plague the locale. Agathe Rousselle, Dominique Frot, Myriem Akheddiou and
Rahim-Silvioli Mehdi also star.
Ahead of its Cannes debut next month, you can check out the first teaser
