Hannes Þór Halldórsson is a goalkeeper for Iceland's national
football team, and once saved a penalty from the great Lionel Messi at the
World Cup. He now makes his directorial debut with comic thriller
Cop Secret.
Riffing on the homoerotic subtext of Hollywood action movies, the film
stars Auðunn Blöndal as a maverick cop dealing with a secret crush on a
co-worker (Egill Einarsson) while trying to take down the criminal
responsible for a series of heists in Reykjavik.
Cop Secret is on UK/ROI VOD from May 16th.

The official synopsis reads:
COP SECRET recasts the buddy cop action genre in Iceland, where Bussi, a tough ‘Super Cop’, begins to lose his cool when he’s assigned a new partner – the suave, cultured and self-declaredly pan-sexual Hordur Bess – fighting an inner struggle while investigating a string of bank robberies where nothing seems to have been stolen.
