Actor turned director Todd Field won much acclaim for his first two
movies as director - 2001's In the Bedroom and 2006's
Little Children - and he's finally delivering his much
anticipated third feature, Tár. The film stars Cate Blanchett as a classical music composer who
becomes the first woman to conduct a German orchestra.
Noémie Merlant, Nina Hoss, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner
and Mark Strong also star.

TÁR, set in the international world of classical music, centers on Lydia Taěr, widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra.
