Director Nicholas Celozzi draws heavily on 1980s fave
The Breakfast Club with his coming-of-age drama The Class. Like its predecessor, The Class sees a group of
high-schoolers spending their Saturday morning in detention and learning a
thing or two about one another in the process.
Breakfast Club star Anthony Michael Hall takes the
role of the school principal with '80s icon Debbie Gibson also
appearing. Charlie Gillespie, Lyric Ross, Hannah Kepple, Colin McCalla, Juliette
Celozzi, Michael Sebastian
and John Kapelos round out the cast.
The Class is in US cinemas and VOD from September 9th. A
UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
In this homage to The Breakfast Club, a group of high school seniors are forced to spend a Saturday at school completing an exam they either missed taking or failed. By the end of the day, they find their own values, betrayals and love within themselves and their classmates.
