Directed by Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure; Fugue) and adapted from the book by Marjorie Wallace, The Silent Twins tells the true
story of June and Jennifer Gibbons.
Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance play the Welsh twins who
were diagnosed as psychopaths due to their refusal to communicate with
anyone but themselves. While confined at Broadmoor hospital, the twins
retreated into a rich fantasy world of their own making.
Leah Mondesir-Simmonds and Eva-Arianna Baxter make their
screen debuts as the young twins.
The Silent Twins is in UK/ROI cinemas from December
9th.

THE SILENT TWINS is the astounding true story of twin sisters who only communicated with one another. As a result, they created a rich, fascinating world to escape the reality of their own lives.
Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance star in the spellbinding film with powerful performances telling the incredible story of June and Jennifer Gibbons – twins who suffered much bullying for looking and acting differently to those around them, being the only West Indian kids in Haverfordwest – a town in Pembrokeshire, Wales. At home, the pair had always been somewhat withdrawn from their siblings and parents, but increasingly these behaviors became more extreme and isolating.
