The directorial debut of Ho Cheuk-tin,
The Sparring Partner is based on a trial that shocked Hong
Kong in 2013. The grisly case involved a young man (Mak Pui Tung)
who enlisted the help of a friend to murder and cook his parents.
The Sparring Partner is in UK cinemas from November 18th
with previews in London and Southampton on November 5th and 6th.
