Top Gun: Maverick makes a major return to Number 1 on the
Official Film Chart, earning its fifth non-consecutive week at the
top.
Leaping seven places following its release on disc, the film returns to
the top spot with sales of over 100,000 across the last seven days, with
just under 95% of its sales made up of copies on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
Close behind at Number 2 is the boxset of both
Maverick
and the original 1986 Top Gun film.
Meanwhile at Number 3,
Jurassic World Dominion
climbs one, as does the
Elvis
biopic starring Austin Butler, which finishes the week at Number 4.
Terrifier 2 falls three to Number 5, while
Minions sequel The Rise of Gru is down three
to Number 6.
Last week’s Number 1,
Bullet Train, finishes at Number 7, ahead of
The Batman
(8), and Sing 2 (9).
Downton Abbey: A New Era rebounds one to Number 10.
Just outside the Top 10 this week, '80s cult classic
Highlander makes its chart debut at Number 12, entering for
the very first time thanks to a brand-new 4K UHD Collector’s
Edition.
At Number 13, and flying 17 places this week is Jordan Peele’s
latest horror,
Nope, which enjoys its placing thanks to digital downloads only. Finally,
Morbius
(14), Uncharted (15), The Bad Guys (17) and
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (20) all rebound several
places.
