Best known as the drummer with alternative rock duo Black Pistol Fire,
Eric Owen makes his debut as writer/director with
Thirst. The film is set in a small town that succumbs to an inexplicable
epidemic of insomnia. When two couples seek refuge on what they believe to
be an abandoned ranch, trouble ensues when a group claiming to be its
owners shows up.
The film stars Brian Villalobos, Michael Gmur, Scotty Walker, Cynthia Fray, Lori
Kovacevich
and Federica Estaba Rangel.
Thirst is on US VOD from September 5th. A UK/ROI release
has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Insomnia spreads in a small town, causing fear and panic. As the situation becomes dire, two couples find salvation on an abandoned ranch until nefarious characters descend upon the land, claiming it as their own, and chaos ensues.
