Italian auteur Mario Bava may have initially dabbled in the giallo
sub-genre with 1963's
The Girl Who Knew Too Much
but it was his first colour thriller, 1964's
Blood and Black Lace, which set the template for the stylish thrillers that would emerge from
Italy over the following two decades.
In a much imitated plotline, the film sees the beautiful models of an
esteemed fashion house targeted by a brutal killer.
The newly restored 4K version of Blood and Black Lace will
play on Arrow in its uncut form from September 25th.
