The latest movie to cast a satirical eye on the influencer phenomenon is
writer/director Ryan Moore's Influence. The film stars Cheyenne Perez as a mentally unstable filmmaker who abducts a
social media star (Grace Kaufman) and attempts to force her to star in her latest
production.
Influence receives its world premiere at New York's Dances
With Films festival on December 2nd.

The official synopsis reads:
In INFLUENCE, Cheyenne Perez ("The Sex Lives of College Girls") stars as Patricia, a filmmaker towing the line of stability as she struggles with her career and her mental health. When she ultimately reaches a breaking point, she kidnaps a famous social media influencer (Grace Kaufman, "Man With a Plan") in an attempt to coerce her into playing the lead role in her latest project.
