The Promised Land takes us to the rugged landscape of 18th
century Jutland. There we find Ludvig (Mads Mikkelsen), a former
soldier who hopes to establish a small settlement. This leads him on a
collision course with a ruthless landowner (Simon Bennebjerg).
The film also stars Amanda Collin, Kristine Kujath Thorp and
Gustav Lindh.
The Promised Land is in UK cinemas from February 2nd,
2024.

The official synopsis reads:
In 1755, the impoverished Captain Ludvig Kahlen sets out to conquer the uninhabitable Danish heath in the name of the King. But the sole ruler of the area, the merciless Frederik de Schinkel, who believes the land belongs to him, swears revenge when the maid Ann Barbara and her serf husband escape for refuge with Kahlen.
