Directed by first-timer Ma Xue and co-written with Xu Weihao, White River stars Yuan Tian as a
woman whose boredom during the pandemic lockdown leads her to pursue an
affair with a neighbour, all while her husband observes.
The film also stars Ning Feng Song and Weihao Xu.
White River is on US VOD from December 1st. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
A woman living in quiet Yanjiao, separated from Beijing by the White River and observing strict quarantine rules, has a simple daily routine consisting of nothing but cooking and cleaning. The mundanity, however, gives way to an erotic entanglement when she begins to sleep with a waiter from the neighborhood, under the watchful eye of her husband.
