Actor Jake Johnson makes his directorial debut with
Self Reliance, which he also wrote. Johnson casts himself as a humdrum man who finds
himself the subject of a reality show where he's set to win $1 million if he
can avoid being killed by assassins over the course of 30 days.
The film also stars Anna Kendrick, Natalie Morales, Andy Samberg, GaTa, Emily Hampshire,
Mary Holland, Boban Marjanović, Christopher Lloyd
and Wayne Brady.
US viewers can stream Self Reliance on Hulu from January
12th. Whether or not UK/ROI viewers will be able to watch it on Disney+ from
the same date has yet to be confirmed.

When a middle-aged man (Jake Johnson, "New Girl") is invited into a limo by famous actor Andy Samberg, his dull life takes a thrilling turn. Johnson is offered a chance to win a million dollars in a dark web reality TV show, where assassins from all over the world attempt to kill him for 30 days. The catch?
