Cinematographer Benoît Delhomme makes his directorial debut with
Mothers' Instinct, based on the book 'Mothers’ Instinct: A Novel of Suspense' by
Barbara Abel. With a screenplay by Sarah Conradt, the 1960s
set thriller stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as two
neighbours whose friendship is shattered by a tragedy involving one of
their kids.
Anders Danielsen Lie and Josh Charles also star.
Mothers' Instinct is in cinemas later this year.

The official synopsis reads:
The edge-of-your-seat thriller focuses on two best friends and neighbours whose perfect lives in ‘60s suburbia are shattered by a tragic accident involving one of their children. The story follows Alice (Jessica Chastain) and Céline (Anne Hathaway) as their sisterly bond is gradually undermined by guilt and paranoia and a gripping battle of wills develops, revealing the darker side of maternal love.
