Writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield scored a cult hit with last year's low
budget slasher Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. That film exploited the public domain status of AA Milne's
beloved characters and turned them into murderous slasher villains. The
sequel sees Pooh and pals leave the 100-acre wood and head into town
seeking revenge against Christopher Robin for exposing their existence in
the first film.
Frake-Waterfield has snared not only rising star Scott Chambers in
the lead role of Christopher Robin but has also enlisted British acting
royalty in Simon Callow!
The cast also includes
Eddy Mackenzie, Marcus Massey, Tallulah Evans, Kelly Rian Sanson,
Alec Newman, Nicola Wright, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney, Lewis Santer,
Tade Adebaio
and Nichaela Farrel.
A release date has yet to be announced but you can check out the first
trailer and poster below.
The official synopsis reads:
Deep within the 100-Acre-Wood, a destructive rage grows as Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger find their home and their lives endangered after Christopher Robin revealed their existence. Not wanting to live in the shadows any longer, the group decides to take the fight to the town of Ashdown, home of Christopher Robin, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake. Winnie and his savage friends will show everyone that they are deadlier, stronger and smarter than anyone could ever imagine and get their revenge on Christopher Robin, once and for all.
