Loosely inspired by the life of bearded lady Clémentine Delait, director Stéphanie Di Giusto's 19th century drama
Rosalie stars Nadia Tereszkiewicz as Rosalie, a young woman who has gone to great
lengths to hide the fact that her face and body are covered in hair. When a
pub landlord (Benoît Magimel) marries Rosalie for her money, she
decides to reveal her true self.
The film also stars Benjamin Biolay, Guillaume Gouix, Gustave Kervern and Anna Biolay, and is co-written
with Sandrine Le Coustumer.
Rosalie is in UK cinemas from June 7th.

The official synopsis reads:
France, 1870. Rosalie is a young woman with a secret… She was born with a face and body covered in hair. A genuine bearded lady. She’s kept her secret safe all her life, until Abel, an indebted bar owner, marries her for her dowry. Now, she no longer wishes to hide.
