Director Adrien Beau follows Maria Bava in adapting Tolstoy's story
The Vourdalak. Co-written with Hadrien Bouvier, the film sees an 18th century French nobleman
seek refuge with a mysterious family awaiting the return of their father
who seems to have undergone a change when he arrives.
Kacey Mottet Klein, Ariane Labed, Gregoire Colin and
Vassili Schneider star.
The Vourdalak is in US cinemas later this month. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
When the Marquis d’UrfĂ©, a noble emissary of the King of France, is attacked and abandoned in the remote countryside, he finds refuge at an eerie, isolated manor. The resident family, reluctant to take him in, exhibits strange behavior as they await the imminent return of their father, Gorcha.
But what begins simply as strange quickly devolves into a full fledged nightmare when Gorcha returns, seemingly no longer himself...
