The prolific director Nathan Silver has made no less than 12 movies
since his 2009 debut The Blind, many of them exploring themes of Jewish idetity. That's the case once
more with his latest, Between the Temples, which he co-wrote with C. Mason Wells.
The film stars Jason Schwartzman as a cantor struggling with his
faith. His life is upended when his former teacher (Carol Kane)
becomes his latest adult Bat Mitzvah student.
Dolly de Leon, Caroline Aaron, Robert Smigel, Madeline Weinstein
and Matthew Shear also star.
Between the Temples is in UK/ROI cinemas from August 23rd.
