America's notorious supermarket tabloid the Weekly World News gets into the
movie business with their first production, horror comedy
The Zombie Wedding.
Based on the eponymous interactive play, the film is directed by
Micah Khan and written by Greg D'Alessandro. Set amid a zombie apocalypse, the
drama unfolds over the course of a wedding between a living bride and her
undead groom, with WWN reporters chasing a scoop.

The Zombie Wedding is in US cinemas and on VD from
September 13th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
A young New Jersey couple decides to go through with their wedding – during the Zombie Apocalypse. Unfortunately, the groom is a zombie and the bride is a human. Both families are nervous for the big day, but it’s the judgmental humans who make the event even more challenging. During the ceremony the Zombies begin feeling brain deprived and the wedding takes a turn for the weird. Weekly World News reporters do their best to cover this wild Jersey wedding - while trying to stay alive!
