Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale
The Little Mermaid gets a horror take courtesy of
writer/director Leigh Scott. In this version an
archaeologist and his students discover an ancient temple beneath the
waters of the Caribbean. From here emerges a mysterious woman who will do
anything to join our world.
The film stars Mike Markoff, Jeff Denton, Samuel Selman, Sean Michael Argo, Winston
Crooke, Steven Yniguez, Manon Laurent
and Lydia Helen.
The Little Mermaid is on US VOD from December 17th. A
UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Beauty is both deceiving and dangerous in this darkly fascinating twist on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale. After archeologist Dr. Eric Prince and his students uncover an ancient pagan temple in the depths of the Caribbean, Eric falls for a mysterious woman who resembles a mermaid he and his team encountered at sea. As their relationship intensifies, she leads Eric deeper into her evil underwater world until he must choose between true love and the destruction of all humanity.
