Director Stuart Gordon's cult classic
Re-Animator
turns 40 in 2025 and marks the occasion with the release of a 4K UHD from a
new restoration on April 3rd 2025. The film will be available exclusively
from
the Ignite Films website
until 2026 with four editions on offer, all featuring new bonus features and
legacy features. Anniversary cinema screenings are also set to be
announced.
The film follows Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs), a brilliant yet
unhinged medical student who creates a serum that reanimates the dead with
horrifying consequences. Re-Animator shocked audiences with
its blend of grotesque horror and dark humour and became an instant cult
classic upon its release in 1985.
