Based on Juan José Millás' novel, director Antonio Méndez Esparza's
Something is About to Happen stars Malena Alterio as Lucia, an unemployed software developer who
experiences a sexual reawakening with the clients of her new job as a taxi
driver. But as Lucia loses herself in pleasure she becomes the target of
dark forces. Alterio scooped the Goya award (Spain's Oscar) for her
role.
Co-written by Clara Roquet, the film also stars Aitana Sánchez Gijón, José Luis Torrijo, Mariona Ribas and Rodrigo Poisón.
Something is About to Happen is on US VOD from February 14th.
A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
A steamy encounter with a new neighbor who has gone missing leads the recently unemployed Lucia (Malena Alterio) to take on work as a cab driver in hopes of finding the man that reawakened her latent sexuality. Using her new vocation as a means of radical connection and self-reinvention, she finds both erotic and intellectual stimulation from her clientele. However, the more Lucia freely gives of herself to strangers, the more it becomes clear that she might be the target of a nefarious plot with violent consequences.
