Dario Argento's third film, 1971's Four Flies on Grey Velvet, sees Michael Brandon play Roberto, a musician who accidentally kills a mysterious stalker. He then begins to receive letters threatening to expose his crime, and is terrorised by a sinister masked figure.
"I decided to let loose, go crazy, and unleash all my creativity and personal nightmare," Argento said of the film. "Psychoanalysis plays a major role in the film because it’s partly autobiographical – rather Freudian, in fact."
April 28th will see Shameless Films release the film on 4K UHD from a 4K restoration. It will also be released separately on bluray.
The release includes new interviews with Argento, Brandon and writer Luigi Cozzi. The UHD is accompanied by a booklet by Argento authority Alan Jones, two art cards, a poster and a serialised limited collector’s slipcase.
