The latest entry in the exorcism horror sub-genre is The Ritual. Directed by David Midell (The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain) and co-written with Enrico Natale, the film is inspired by the 1928 exorcism of Emma Schmidt. Al Pacino and Dan Stevens play the two priests assigned to save Emma's soul when she falls victim to demonic possession.
Ashley Greene, Abigail Cowen and Patricia Heaton also star.
The Ritual is in UK/ROI cinemas from May 30th.
