Having made three films with his brother Josh, Benny Safdie now strikes out on his own as writer/director of The Smashing Machine. The film tells the true story of wrestler/MMA fighter Mark Kerr (Dwayne Johnson), who battled substance abuse to become a legend in his sport.
Emily Blunt, Lyndsey Gavin, Oleksandr Usyk, Ryan Bader, Satoshi Ishii and Bas Rutten also star.
The Smashing Machine is in UK/ROI cinemas from October 3rd.
