Set to premiere at next month's Cannes Film Festival is writer/director Ari Aster's Eddington. The blackly comic contemporary western stars Joaquin Phoenix as a small town sheriff whose feud with the mayor (Pedro Pascal) causes the residents of the town to turn on one another.
The film also stars Luke Grimes, Deirdre O'Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Austin Butler and Emma Stone.
Eddington is in US cinemas from July 18th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
